Physically in School

We have 64 main classrooms running in this school, along with 13 other auxiliary classrooms that are used for Special Arabic and other subjects. Of the 64 main classrooms, we have real pressure on only 20 of them, with more than 18 people wanting to be in class. Due to this, we are forced to implement a rotation.

On Friday 04DEC2020 at 3:00 pm (perhaps earlier) a form will be posted on this site. The form will be open for 9 hours (until midnight Friday 04DEC2020). Make sure that you register EACH of your children individually on this form if you want them to attend school physically. You MUST have the correct username to do this. Incorrect usernames will NOT be registered.

You must be aware that it will be impossible to accommodate everyone’s first choice. It is impossible to be “fair” in everyone’s eyes. Please be patient. Please be kind. One day this will all be over.

Important : Action needed NOW if your child is absent.

The School Attendance Policy is as follows and starts NOW. 10:00 am on Monday 30NOv2020.

Due to the large number of absences, we have changed the School attendance policy to be as follows :

1 : If a student registered as FullTimeInSchool is absent from school AND they send a WhatsApp to 71 183 559 (between 08:00 am and 12:00 noon) they will be marked as DeclaredAbsent. Two days of DeclaredAbsent (in 10 days) are permissible, however on the THIRD day (in 10 days) of DeclaredAbsent the students will be taken OFF the list of FullTimeInSchool, IF there is someone on the waiting list to enter the class. They will be informed by 3:00 pm when they have been taken off the FullTimeInSchool list and moved to OnlineEveryday and the person on the waiting list will be informed that they have been moved from OnlineEveryday to FullTimeInSchool.

2 : If a student registered as FullTimeInSchool is absent from school AND they DO NOT send a WhatsApp to 71 183 559 they will be marked as UndeclaredAbsent. After one day of UndeclaredAbsent  the student will IMMEDIATELY be taken OFF the list of FullTimeInSchool, IF there is someone on the waiting list to enter the class. They will be informed by 3:00 pm when they have been taken off the FullTimeInSchool list and moved to OnlineEveryday and the person on the waiting list will be informed that they have been moved from OnlineEveryday to FullTimeInSchool.

 

Some of my advisors have said that the above is VERY difficult to understand. Here is a summary :

The notice is only for those students who have been registered as FullTimeInSchool. It is about them being removed as FullTimeInSchool students.

There are two types of absence from school : DeclaredAbsent and UndeclaredAbsent

• DeclaredAbsent : The student is NOT physically in school but a WhatsApp message has been sent to 71 183 559 between 08:00 am and 12:00 noon informing the school of your absence.
• UnDeclearedAbsent : The student is NOT physically in school and NO WhatsApp message has been sent.

You will be REMOVED from the FullTimeInSchool list IF :

• You are DeclaredAbsent for more than 2 days out of 10.
• You are UnDeclaredAbsent for a day

 

You can pick up your worksheets between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm today, Monday 30NOV2020.

There is a NEW timetable for the Senior Department that starts at 08:00 am tomorrow, Monday 30NOV2020.

School will reopen for Hybrid teaching (physical presence and online) tomorrow at 08:00 am until 12:40 pm.

Please do NOT attend school if your name is listed as “Online”. Contact the school offices tomorrow between 08:00 am and 12:40 pm and we will attempt to give you a place on Tuesday. IF the class that you are in is full (greater than 18 people), you will NOT be able to attend this week in person, you will be placed in a rota next week.
