Yesterday, Wednesday 02SEP2020, I had extensive meetings with parents and students of 10B, 10C and 11S.
As a results of those interviews, the following changes were made to the exams that are due to take place on Monday 21SEP2020 to decide promotion to 11S, 12M and 12E.
1 : No one will be exempt from the exams. Everyone has to do ALL the exams. The previously published list of names that are exempt from individual exams has been withdrawn.
2 : The content of SOME exams has been reduced. Details are here with the reduced content clearly indicated : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DUntQacipItrI2eUIU2e9zUIqTMMv2Sl505nWsDH1KM/edit?usp=sharing
3 : The marks from these exams will not be used during the academic year 2020-2021, they will only be a guide to class promotion.
4 : The exams will be in school on Monday 21SEP2020 starting at 8:00 am. Details will be circulated with further information nearer the time.
5 : The idea is that from now until 20SEP2020 you study three hours a day. At the end of that time of agreed study you will be given a “timed worksheet” that you will have to complete to prove that you studied. You need to see this work in that light. This is an opportunity to start work early to be ready to face the difficult year ahead.
6 : The teachers will provide videos that help students revise.
There is a form that all students in 10B, 10C and 11S have to fill in. If you do not fill in this form you will NOT be promoted to 11S or 12M or 12E.
11S students have to fill in this form : https://forms.gle/1NBVxQMSA8DdtfVn6
10B 10C students have to fill in this form : https://forms.gle/FKzKFiaUkQSr7VYc7
