School closed for three days.
As mentioned on the School Calendar, there will be no school on Monday 30OCT2023, Tuesday 31OCT2023 and Wednesday 01NOV2023.
School will resume on Thursday 02NOV2023 at 07:40 am.
School closed : Wednesday 18OCT2023
Further to the announcement of the Minister of Education late yesterday evening, the school and all administrative offices will be closed today, Wednesday 18OCT2023.
Important announcement.
In view of the uncertain security situation in the country at the moment, there are a few initial steps that I want to be announcing this afternoon.
1 : We will be cancelling all after school activities this week (Monday 16OCT2023 to Friday 20OCT2023 inclusive). We will reassess the situation next weekend. These will include football, basketball and volleyball practices and matches. It may be that some educational sessions will be held after school (P1, P2 Physics; SAT Maths Sessions) but these will be decided on an individual basis. Buses will run at 5:00 pm IF these sessions take place. I know this will disappoint many students, but I feel it is prudent to halt anything “extra” for the next few days and perhaps beyond. We will post again as we see more clearly.
2 : School trips, both inside Lebanon and abroad (the proposed basketball trip to Turkey) are not going to take place at the moment.
3 : IF trouble should start during the school day, parents are free to pick their children up at any time.
4 : IF trouble should start during the school day, school buses will only run when and if we feel it is safe for them to do so. We will announce on our Telegram channels when exactly this will take place.
5 : Our priority at this time must be the safety and well-being of staff, students and parents. It is essential that we maintain, within the clear constraints of safe operation, the normal school day. Other extra activities can wait until we feel we know more about the situation.
We pray that this will pass. We wait on Him. Pray for peace.
