Further to the decision of the Lebanese Government to start DST from midnight on Wednesday 29MAR2023. It would be chaotic (and a little bit crazy) to move back to “winter time” for just two days. Accordingly, we will remain on DST from now until October 2023!

Further to the announcement by the Minister of Education less than an hour ago, the school will be moving to DST as from now, 17:53 Sunday 26MAR2023.

Please make sure that you are at school on time for your exams tomorrow.

If you are confused about what time it is in school right now, go to this page [https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/lebanon/beirut] and ADD ONE HOUR. Do NOT forget to add one hour.

As a school, we will follow the timezone that has been set by the Lebanese Government. We will NOT be moving to “summertime” (DST) until the Lebanese Government decrees it (at the moment, set at 21APR2023 @ 0:00)

HOWEVER, all our computer and accounting systems have automatically moved to the internationally acknowledged DST, so you might be getting messages before they are sent!!!!!! As an example, the time now is 08:10 am and if I sent a WhatsApp message from a school computer it will have a timestamp of 08:10 am, but you will receive it at 07:10 am!!!!!!
