We have had a multitude of emails and calls about what to do about marks and reports.

I have made a 20 minute (!!!) video which goes into GREAT detail about how you can work out what you need to do once you get the marks on your report.

If you have any questions AFTER you watch the video please email me : steve@lesbg.com. There is really nothing you can do before you get your report.

Due to the shortage and spiralling expense of benzene, the offices (ALL offices in the school, Junior, Senior and Accounting) will only be open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday next week.

Dear UKG Parents

Graduation ceremonies will be on separate days for each class as follows:

• Monday, the 14th of June, 2021: UKG Leaders
• Tuesday, the 15th of June, 2021: UKG Champions
• Wednesday, the 16th of June, 2021: UKG Winners
• Thursday, the 17th of June, 2021: UKG Heroes

Please bring your child to the Junior Department Entrance starting at 4:30pm in order to take a special picture.

In order to be able to run this special event smoothly, we require your cooperation in following all the school’s safety precautions:

1. The invitation is ONLY for 3 family members.
2. Masks MUST be worn at all times.
3. Please bring your hand gel with you to use at all times.
4. Please do not move the chairs on the Junior basketball court. They will be arranged so that everyone one will be safely distanced.
5. To lessen personal contact with your child, we ask that you help your child in getting the graduation gown on and off. Once you arrive at school, you will be guided to do so.
6. Shaking hands and hugging are not allowed.
7. Please, this can not be stressed enough, make sure that you stay at an appropriate distance from everyone else at all times.

Dear Friends. With the huge problem of petrol making transport difficult, I have changed the idea for Book Day in the Senior Department. It will NOT be on Monday 21JUN2021, it will be directly after the LAST exam. Students should bring their books to school with them on the last day of their exams. After the exams they will be told which rooms they should go to and the books will be taken from them. If they are all in order, they will get their deposit back on 09JUL2021 when the reports are due to be distributed. If they have damaged or lost books, the amount will be calculated and they will have to settle this amount before they receive their reports.

Important Notes :

• This will be for ALL students : Physically in school AND online.
• If you are outside Lebanon (only three students!) you will have to return all books before any reports or certificates are issued.
• Which books to bring? : ALL textbooks AND photocopied books that you were given, even if they have been written on.
• Parents or other parties can return books, but they must be prepared to wait in line.
• Books that are NOT returned at the correct times noted below will not be able to get their deposits back.

What day? :

• Classes 6, 7 and 8 : Thursday 17JUN2021 : 09:30 am until 12:30 pm.
• Classes 9B, 9C and 12M, 12E, 12SE : After their government exams. Exact dates and times to be announced.
• Classes 9A, 10B, 10C and 11S, 11SE : Friday 18JUN2021 : 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm [NOTE : Buses will run at 3:00 pm for Seniors on this day. There are NO buses for Junior Department students on Friday 18JUN2021]
• A Level (10A, 11A, 12A) : Tuesday 15JUN2021 : 10:30 am – 1:30 pm

Infant and Junior Department :

• Last day of school is Thursday 17JUN2021. This will be a NORMAL: day of teaching. NO special events, no parties. We cannot accept any students that are not scheduled to be in school to come to school on that day. We have had numerous requests from parents that want their child to come for the last day. Furthermore, we are refusing all these requests and have asked the teachers to cancel all their “special” events because of all the chaos that parents are causing asking for attendance for their children.
• Friday 18JUN2021 : All online students are requested to bring back all their rental books between 8:00 am and 12:00 noon.

Senior Department :

• Last day of school is Friday 18JUN2021.
• Book Day for the whole school is Monday 21JUN2021. This will last for the WHOLE day as we are going to bring the school in TWO shifts to maintain social distancing. The first shift will attend from 08:00 am until 11:00 am and the second shift from 12:00 noon until 3:00 pm. Exact details will be sent later.
