We will be keeping to the SIX hours per day timetable for the week Monday 21OCT – Friday 25OCT2024.

The timetable will change. It will be posted tomorrow, BUT it will be 6 hours per day : 07:40 am until 01:30 pm.

Tomorrow afternoon we will open bus routes to the following locations :

Loueizeh – Hazmieh – Fiyadiyeh – Dekwaneh – Mkalles – Qoubeh – Hammana – Chbaniyeh – Ras El Matn – Fallougha

If you have registered your child/ren on a bus to any of these locations, bring your child to school in the morning and in the afternoon the bus will return them home.

Please be ready for late arrival at home for the first 10 days as we sort out these bus routes.

Please note that no students will be able to ride on the bus unless they have signed the Bus Waiver Form. If you have already signed the School Waiver Form, a second signature is all that is needed. This form will be available outside the Senior Administration office tomorrow morning when you bring your children to school.

Dear Parents

You will be aware by this time, if your child is following online, that the livestreaming yesterday moved to recording/uploading videos. You will also be aware that not all videos were uploaded. We do NOT upload videos that we feel are technically substandard, and therefore many were not uploaded at all. Do not worry, your children will not have missed anything, we will be repeating all content that was taught on Wednesday 16OCT2024.

As a summary, we have been going 5 days so far this academic year :

Today and tomorrow, Friday 18OCT2024, we will be teaching new material.

Today we will NOT be going live, and it is probable that we will not be recording. It is highly improbable that we will be going live tomorrow, Friday 18OCT2024, though that might change for a number of classes. We will inform you of that later.

Tomorrow, school will finish at 12:40 pm NOT at 1:30 pm. The day will consist of 5 teaching hours, not 6.

Tomorrow afternoon, teachers will prepare videos for online students that will cover all the NEW material that has been taught on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week. These videos will be posted in Google Classrooms.

We will probably be moving to a FIVE-hour timetable starting next week. Details and timetable to follow tomorrow. That means that school will finish at 12:40 pm starting from Monday 21OCT2024.

Dear Junior Parents, because of different requests we had so far for the students following the school program online, we have decided to prepare all the books, stationary and workbooks that are needed. They can be collected from the Junior Department (from the specific classrooms) on Friday 18OCT2024 between 2:00pm and 3:00pm. NOTE the collection that was scheduled for Wednesday 16OCT2024 will now no longer take place.

If you already sent a WhatsApp message requesting your child’s workbooks to be prepared, we are working on it.

If you did not send a WhatsApp message yet, and you will be following the livestream, and you wish to collect your child’s booklets, copybooks and textbooks, please make sure you send a written WhatsApp message on the school number, +961 71 183 559. In order to have time to prepare the books, the deadline for these messages will be Thursday 17OCT2024 at 11:00am.

Please note that this is applied only to Junior students and not infant students. For Infant students, everything that is needed will be sent to Google Classrooms.

Dear Friends. I write this message with a heavy heart after a 40-hour weekend of desperately trying to rebuild our systems to be ready for online streaming today. I am assured by the IT department that by noon we will have sufficient resources freed to start to roll out a number of classes. I have heard that message before and nothing has come of it, so I am treating it with caution.

Some details :
1 : Everything that is taught in class while there is no livestream will be retaught.
2 : We are working as hard as is humanly possible to get this system off the ground.
3 : I know that these past three days (including today) have been extremely frustrating. They will pass. Even a journey of a 1000 miles starts with a single step.
4 : We will make up all lost days by cutting out holidays.
5 : Most of the books that are required this year are on Google Classroom.
6 : Next week we are preparing to hand out all textbooks and copybooks for Junior Department students that are following online. We will inform you presently of details about how this will work. However, in the meantime, if you want to collect the photocopied workbooks for your children you can do so. You can collect all WORKBOOKS from school between 8:00 am and 12:00 noon as long as you have informed us by WhatsApp [71 183 559] 24 hours before you intend to collect. This will begin on Wednesday 16OCT2024, therefore start sending messages now!
